Coaching Experience and
Accomplishments: I received my National C
license in 1981 while attending the U or R. I was on staff at the UR summer
soccer camps during my playing years at UR. After finishing my college playing career in
1984-85, I coached the Brockport Soccer Club’s Boys U-19 team. During the
academic year 1985-86, I was Willie Fitzpatrick’s assistant coach at SUNY
Brockport for one season. I had a long hiatus from coaching thereafter
until 2000 when I began coaching youth soccer in Penfield. I started
assisting with U7 recreational program and then assisted with the Penfield
Rangers boys U8 then U10 teams. |
|
Playing Experience and
Accomplishments: I played high school
soccer at Brockport. I played my college soccer at the U of R. I played in
the RDSL Premier Division and then first division with the Brockport Soccer
Club throughout the early to mid 80s. As a youth player, I played with the
Rochester area and then NYS select teams. |

Skills Important to
Coaching: I am a physician trained
in general internal medicine. I am certified in both BLS and ACLS (advanced
cardiac life support). |
|
Coaching Philosophy:
My particular interest is
in teaching kids basic individual skills sets. I believe that without
maximizing these tools, ultimate success and enjoyment of the game will not
follow as easily. I believe that this has to be stressed early, but never
neglected even at the older age levels. |
