NCAA Recruiting Rules

 

Listed below are some highlights of the NCAA recruiting rules for Division 1, 2 and 3.

 

Division 1:

▪You may receive recruiting materials beginning September 1 of junior year.

▪One phone call during May during junior year.

▪One phone call a week after July 1.

▪Allowed off-campus contact after July 1.

▪Can see or talk to you off-campus only 3 times during your senior year.

▪Unofficial visits are allowed.

▪Official visits allowed opening day of classes your senior year, maximum of 5.

▪Evaluation and contacts up to seven times during your senior year.

 

Division 2:

▪Recruiting material beginning September 1.

▪Coach can phone you once a week beginning June 15.

▪Off-campus visits after June 15.

▪Coach is limited to 3 in-person contacts off campus.

▪Unlimited number of unofficial visits anytime.

▪Official visits starting your senior year.

▪One official visit per college.

 

Division 3:

▪Recruiting material anytime.

▪No limit on phone calls anytime.

▪Off-campus visits at the end of your junior year.

▪Unlimited number of unofficial visits anytime.

▪Official visits starting your senior year.

▪One official visit per college.
